Comper Cathedral

c.1890. One the three designs in the Watts archives commissioned by Sir John Ninian, Comper Cathedral is an intricate silk damask of stylised British flowers and foliage with a pine cone at its centre, symbolising regeneration and enlightenment. Woven on natural ground, this heritage design is truly glorious.
