c.1750. A delicate mid-eighteenth century French brocatelle, this pure silk Chinoiserie lampas is simply magnificent. Golden lace meanders beneath climbing branches flowering with elaborate blossoms and ripening peaches against a garden of jade foliage. The detail of the weaving is displayed to perfection on a light silk.
