Bird Hand Block

c.1871 this print is derived from the bird and flower type of eighteenth century Chinese wallpaper, which were intended for rooms of small proportions. This Scott the Younger design is strengthened by a closely observed naturalism, as every petal and feather are captured in exquisite minute detail. Beautiful!
